Polytechnic of Leiria and Better to Earth signed a cooperation protocol aiming the development of studies in scientific pioneer projects in Portugal.
Polytechnic of Leiria has affirmed itself in the last years as an institution focused on research, development, and innovation (R&D+i),having as its identity brand an R&D+i Ecosystemprimarily oriented to the economic and social fabric of the region where it is inserted, but always centered on the global, broader scope inherent to any R&D+i effort.
It is an objective to ensure an R&D+i activity that is useful for the Region, but also relevant for the whole country, and with potential for application in an international context, within our various areas of activity.
In addition to our dedicated research units, it is also worth mentioning the solid internal support structure Polytechnic of Leiria has for its R&D+i activity, which is divided into three sectors: INDEA, CTC and Projects office.
University research plays an important role in industrial innovation. Fostering collaborative partnerships in scientific research has emerged as a critical imperative to sustaining this innovation and with this, in mind, this protocol will cover technical and scientific research knowledge exchanges, promote technical and scientific activities, explore new areas of scientific and industrial applications and support scholarships within the scope of both entities.
This research collaboration is held to accelerate the knowledge-transfer between experts, and translate world-class research into practical applications, which have important commercial, economic and social benefits.
Expertise and experience from our partner Tottori Resource Recycling Global (TRRG) will be part of this protocol, based on ongoing applications around the world.
This protocol, other partnerships and investigation programs that Better to Earth is driving, intend to promote Porous Alpha role in a circular economy for waste glass framed by UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Because we care about the earth’s future.
