Tottori resource Recycling, Inc. will participate in the online exhibition “Sustainable Technology Exhibition 2021” held from 13th to 15th October 2021 by UNIDO ITPO Tokyo.
In this event, we will introduce the technology to improve the productivity in farming through the reduction of water usage by using glass foamed material, “Porous Alpha”.
UNIDO ITPO Tokyo operates STePP, or “Sustainable Technology Promotion Platform” in an effort to accelerate the transfer of selected sound and productive Japanese technologies to developing and emerging countries in the fields of 1) Energy, 2) Environment, 3) Agri-business and 4) Human health.
The technologies are evaluated for registration on STePP by the UNIDO STePP Evaluation Committee based on the following criteria;
- Applicability in Developing and Emerging Countries;
- Competitive Advantage;
- Conformity with UNIDO’s Mandate of Industrial Development;
- Contribution to Sustainability;
- Technical Maturity;
Any organizations in developing and emerging countries, such as governmental organizations, private enterprises, institutions, or NGOs, are welcome to approach the technology providers on STePP.
The Sustainable Technology Exhibition 2021 will feature such sustainable technologies owned by 25 Japanese companies as listed. You can visit the Exhibition any time, from anywhere during the Exhibition period. Join us at the Exhibition to get to know more about sustainable technologies and to communicate directly with the technology holders.
By mixing “Porous alpha” into the soil, the water retention capacity and the aeration in the soil are improved, and irrigation water consumption can be reduced by 50% alongside keeping or improving yield.
The technology brought successful results in many regions, including Japan, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
It is registered as “sustainable technology” by the United Nations.
